| Description | An American drone strike reportedly targeted a convoy of three vehicles carrying senior al Shabaab officials in Abaq Haluul (55km SW of Diinsoor) in the afternoon of 12/03. The drone attack killed all alleged al Shabaab occupants in the vehicles (numbers not known). Aadan Garaar, the head of al Shabaab external operations, as well as the suspected mastermind behind the 2013 Kenya mall attack was allegedly among those killed in the attack. The US later confirmed the strike. |
