Suspected al Shabaab fighters attacked SNA and police forces that were heading to Rabdhure around Calaame village, 23 Kms SE of Yeed on 11/05. Both sides briefly exchange small arms fire and al Shabaab fighters were repelled from the area. Two al Shabaab fighters were reportedly killed and one Police officer was injured in the attack. The soldiers and police forces are part of the local authority deployment of forces to Rabdhure district. No further casualty was reported from the incident and the convoy proceeded to Rabdhure district. |
