Hargeisa police carried out a security operation in Mohamoud Haybe neighbourhood in Hargeisa on 02/06 following a recent killing by a gunman from Ciidagale/Abokor Muse sub-clan against a man from Ciidagale/Abdi Bari sub-clan. The police erected checkpoints and were seen searching vehicles and patrolling the streets in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile, some locals staged a violent demonstration and burnt tires in front of Total Hotel. The protestors were demanding the perpetrator to be executed; however, police arrived at the scene and dispersed the protestors. |
