Around 12 al Shabaab fighters ambushed a JLF patrolling vehicle in Hanta Biyaha, Gulwade Shaqalaha neighbourhood in Kismaayo Town in the night of 26/06. After brief exchange of gunfire JLF killed 'Xudayfa' a former Amniyat Commander in Kismaayo who was heading the attackers. His body was brought to Suuq Yasin in Farjano were he use to reside for public identification. Two more al Shabaab fighters were injured but they managed to escape. JLF captured one BKM, two AK47 and one Hand-grenade. No casualties reported from JLF side. |
