A group of Habar-Jeclo/Reer Biniin sub-clan reportedly assaulted a man hailing from Issa Muse/Abdalla Qoyan sub-clan in the area of Booraamo village (26km NE of Burco) on 28/06. The motive of the incident remains unclear. However some reports indicate that the victim was among a group of elders interviewed by the reconciliation committee regarding the historical ownership of a disputed Diiriye Guuleed village. Police arrested several elders from the perpetrators sub-clan after the attackers escaped. |
