Unidentified attackers hurled a hand grenade against a group of AMISOM soldiers on foot patrol in the vicinity of Sheekh Abroone in the morning of 07/07. AMISOM forces responded with gunfire and immediately conducted security operation in the neighbourhood. A large number of people were arrested during the operation. One civilian was killed by AMISOM forces who said she was intending to throw another hand grenade at them and two other civilian bystanders were wounded by stray bullets. |
