| Description | AMISOM forces conducted a search and security operation in Baytaruus neighbourhood to flash out suspected al Shabaab elements in the morning of 21/07. The forces did house to house searches and recovered some guns. The operation went out of hand after some people were shot and killed by AMISOM in their houses and other inhabitants also opened fire. Unconfirmed reports indicate that 13 civilians (some sources claim 19) were killed and around 20 wounded during the operation. |
