Local resident staged a demonstration against the DC of Buur-Hakaba on 29/10. Traditional elders and key community members' opposes Ali Hassan Olympica the current DC, who was nominated by ISWA as a district commissioner for Buur-Hakaba District. The locals complained that the nomination was not free and fair election process and requested from SNG/ISWA state to intervene the matter immediately. The protestors demanded free and transparent election of the position of the DC and should be fully approved by the entire community. |
