Four service delivery protesters are shot; two dead, in Brits, outside Pretoria. The one of the wounded later dies in hospital. The demonstrators, protesting poor water supply in the area, which had been out for a week, gathered for a second day of demonstrations. Though the protests were described as "violent", some witnesses claim police brutality. Later, it was learned that one of the deaths occurred after police pushed a protesters out of a moving vehicle.
