Around 600 GoS and Janjaweed forces, backed by helicopter gunships, are reported to have attacked Adwa village between Nov.29 to Dec.2. On Nov.30, SLM/A was present in Adwa and 80-100 civilians were killed, while in total at least 100 civilians were said to have been killed over the 4 days. Women and girls were raped by the attackers, while wounded villagers were detained in the village without medical treatment. An SLM/A spokesman says the GoS is removing bodies to cover up the attack.
