Four people were killed and three others wounded in renewed clashes between pro and anti Doha negotiations in IDPs' Kalma camp, one the biggest camps in Southern Darfur. Miraya correspondent in Darfur said that clashes started when armed men supporting Doha talks obstructed a march of people who were heading towards UNAMID office to hand a memorandum protesting against the talks between Liberation and Justice Movement and the government. Protesters of the Abdul-Wahid Mohamed el-Nur faction of the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) who felt they were inadequately represented in the Doha talks, faced off with supporters of the peace negotiations in gun-battles that resulted in the deaths of eight IDPs. |
