Many people continued to protest against the manager of the Customs Office for the second day running in Zaylac on 03/02 over the construction of a concrete wall which extended from the customs office to the main entrance of the Zaylac Fishermen Association building. The protests continued after police refused to release five fishermen who were arrested in early demonstrations on 02/02. The protests turned violent after the protestors burnt tyres. Police shot in the air to disperse the crowd and arrested seven people. |
