Two clan militias from two Habar Jeclo/Ahmed Farax sub-clans (Cali Muse & Ba Cawrala) exchanged gunfire in Huluul Village (57km W of Ceel-Afweyn) on 08/02 following a dispute over the selection of a new prominent elder to be the chief elder for both sub-clans. Each sub-clan wanted the new elder to be selected among their sub-clan. Ceel-Afweyn police forces conducted security operations and arrested the two men who were leading the militias and transferred them to Ceel-Afweyn for further investigations. No casualties were reported. |
