US warplanes targeted 'Islamic State' (IS) training camps inLibya. Between 43-49 people were killed in a dawn air raid in the Sabratha area outside Tripoli in Libya. The target is believed to be Noureddine Chouchane, a senior Tunisian operative suspected of carrying out two major attacks in Tunisia. Two of the victims of the strike were reported to be two employees from the Serbian embassy in Libya, who were taken hostage on November 8 in Sabratha from a convoy of cars heading to the Tunisian border. |
