Hundreds of people staged a peaceful demonstration in KM4/ in front of the parliament/Dajirka along Maka Al-Mukarama road in the morning of 21/02. The demonstrators urged the government to mention the status that Mogadishu will have after 2016. The protestors had slogans indicating the need for Mogadishu residents to have equal rights as the other residents living in other regions. The provisional Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia states that Mogadishu will have special regulation that will be endorsed by the parliament. |
