SNG forces, aided by US Naval airpower launched an attack at Aw-Dheegle (Afgooye District) in the morning of 09/03. According to information from the ground a helicopter landed in Aw-Dheegle town and engaged fighting with al Shabaab fighters in the town. Further reports indicate that SNG forces broke all the doors of the ADC Compound, the district administration and the police station. The attacking forces were reportedly present in Aw-Dheegle close to two hours then left. Four al Shabaab dead bodies were seen in the town in the morning. Some reports claim 10 dead. |
