Puntland forces and clan militias reportedly from Dashishe sub-clan clashed in Dalweyne Village (84km N of Qardho) on the afternoon of 29/03. The fighting, which lasted for about an hour, broke out after the clan militias attempted to establish an illegal check point. Additional security forces were dispatched to the area. One soldier and two clan militias were reportedly wounded. The security forces seized a battle wagon and other unspecified number of weapons from the clan militia. The clan militia fled the area after the clash. |
