Unidentified gunmen in a drive-by shooting sprayed bullets against a car carrying a group of doctors in Taleex neighbourhood (Hodan District) in the evening of 30/03. The victims were working for DEVA Hospital, A private Turkish hospital in Mogadishu. The motive behind the attack is currently unknown. Two Turkish doctors and four Somali nationals including three doctors were killed while five other Turkish nationals and a Kenya teacher were injured in the same attack. Somalia Prime minister condemned the attacked and termed it a massacre while also sending condolence message to the relatives of the victims saying that he shares the pain with them. |
