| Description | Al Shabaab fighters ambushed a convoy of AMISOM and local militias near Janaale Village (14km NW of Marka) in the morning of 31/03. The exchange of gunfire lasted more than 30 minutes. The allied forces left from Buufow Bacaad and were heading towards Janaale when the incident happened. Casualties are unknown but two helicopters landed in Shalaambood and reportedly evacuated a number of injured UPDF soldiers. |
