Al Shabaab carjacked over seven civilian vehicles (trucks and Mini-buses) from Buale Town to transport fighters towards Afmadow. The fighters alighted deep in the bush between the two districts (approx. 70km W of Buale) on 12/04. Some of the hijacked drivers released last night reported that they had to transport a high number of al Shabaab troops; further reports indicate that al Shabaab is planning a complex attack in one of the JLF and AMISOM controlled towns and villages in Lower Juba to respond to the airstrikes against them. |
