Four armed men driving a Toyota Noah vehicle killed a NISA government officer and Boondheere District officer in a drive-by shooting in the vicinity of Nasiib Buundo (Boondheere District) in the afternoon of 18/04. Security forces confronted with the attackers near General Daud neighbourhood (Yaaqshiid District) following the attack. Seeing the security forces, the perpetrators went out of the vehicle and started to resist. An explosion believed to be remotely detonated by the attackers blew up immediately. One of the attackers was killed in the exchange of gunfire and another one with injuries was captured by the security forces. One female bystander was also killed in the blast. |
