Description |
Mortars rounds were fired from an unknown location (most likely from Kaxda in Dharkenleey) against MIA (local airport) in the morning of 03/05. It is confirmed that five rounds (probably B10) landed inside MIA and at least one round inside the UN compound, Waaberi District. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility through their Radio Andalus (a pro-AS local FM) and stated that the purpose of the attack was to scare the newly arrived British soldiers. It is not clear if the soldiers were in fact a target. No casualties were reported. |
