Negotiations had been ongoing with the Fulani to enter the city with their flocks but without their weapons, but they refused to disarm, which resulted in the clash after 3 armed Fulani youths were arrested in the morning. The commander of the brigade which opposed them and other members of the security forces were wounded in the gunfight. |
