Ex-Seleka and armed Fulani attacked Ngaoundaye this morning after entering the city on motorcycles, killing at least 10 people and injuring others, ransacking the city, burning the local gendarmerie building, cutting telephone wires, and causing displacement of the population. Elements of the gendarmerie sent to the area over the previous weekend left the area for Bozoum following the attack, although no specific interactions were reported between the security forces and the assailants. |
