At least 11 people were killed and others wounded as clashes broke out between demobilized combatants and FARDC soldiers in Kamina. The FARDC soldiers allegedly opened fire on thousands of demobilized M23 combatants who were protesting against the delays surrounding their reintegration by the military authorities, killing at least 10 and wounding 4. A FARDC officer was also killed with a machete by the former combatants, and 4 other soldiers wounded. The former combatants allegedly tried to invade and loot the Kamina city centre. |
