Two passengers were reportedly injured in the attack. The gunmen carjacked the vehicle and also abducted the driver. The presidential candidate whose team was attacked, Abdiweli Mohamed Gass, a former SNG prime minister, condemned the attack. In a press statement issued on 02/11, Mr. Gass accused President Abdirahman Mohamed Farole of being behind the incident.
