Al Shabaab militia carried out a hit-and-run attack against SNG police forces collecting tax from the locals in Kalabayr (25km NE of Beled Weyne) on 11/12. The two sides exchanged gunfire for about 30 minutes after which the al Shabaab fighters withdrew. A SNG police officer was injured in the clash and police vehicle destroyed.
